Taichi is a boxer aiming for the newcomer’s championship. However, a motorcycle accident leaves his lower body paralyzed and his dreams are shattered. Losing a clear goal for the future ahead, he abandons himself to despair. One day a coincidence leads him to a job as a street peddler and an encounter with Samako, whom he meets at the night market. He visits her at a Shinto shrine, where he becomes fascinated with Aiki Jujutsu, a school of Aikido.
The story is based on the life of a Danish wheelchair martial artist, Ole Kingston Jensen, who started training after he was handicapped in an accident and is now the highest-ranking non-Japanese member of the Roppokai branch of Aiki Jujutsu.
