Manga Jiman 2010 Competition Results

The results of the 2010 Manga Jiman Competition were announced at a prize-giving ceremony at the Embassy of Japan on 18 February 2011.

 

The first prize was awarded to Bristol-based manga artist Clio Millett, with her entry 'Beyond Raging Waves'.

John Blake and Mike Reid's 'A Mean Artopologist' was placed second while Katja Hammond's 'To Sail a Moon' was selected in third place.

Due to the high quality of work from young participants, the judges decided to increase the number of shortlisted entries in the category of 'Most Impressive Manga by entrants aged between 14 and 16'. Rachel Dunn's 'I.Wish' was chosen as the outright winner with entries from Kharis Brown and Tania Thomas selected as joint runners-up.
