Japan Society - Founded in 1891, The Japan Society is the longest established and principal organisation involved in Anglo-Japanese relations in Britain. It has a wide basis of membership and no sectarian interests; membership is open to all as individuals or as companies.

Great Britain Sasakawa Foundation – registered UK charity which aims to develop Japan – UK relations by advancing the education of the people of both countries in each other’s culture, society and achievements. Also provides financial support for activities in areas such as youth exchange, science, the arts, health and environment.

 

The Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundationis an independent UK charity supporting links between Britain and Japan. Established in 1988 with a generous benefaction from Daiwa Securities Co Ltd, the Foundation carries out its work through the three main programmes: Daiwa Scholarships, grants and events.

  • Daiwa Scholarships are awarded annually to talented young UK graduates to undertake language study, a homestay and a work placement over 19 months in Japan.
  • Grants of between £1,000 and £15,000 are available to applicants from the UK and Japan for exchange projects between the two countries.
  • Regular seminars, book launches and exhibitions are held throughout the year at the Foundation¡Çs headquarters in Regent¡Çs Park in central London.

Japan-21 – educational charity that provides support for teachers of any subject or age group in the UK wishing to teach about Japan.
