After the huge success of 
HYPER JAPAN last summer, "the UK¡Çs  biggest J-culture event" is back this month for three days at Brompton Hall,  Earls Court. Covering the "cuisine, cool and culture" of Japan, this is  a three day event at which people can experience performances, participate in  workshops, try different types of Japanese food and drink, and shop for various  items from Japan.
                        
                        In this Olympic year, HYPER JAPAN will also feature a very  special guest - Olympic gold medallist, Maki Tsukada. Maki won the gold medal  in the Women¡Çs Judo +78kg category at the 2004 Athens Olympics. She also won  the 2003 World Judo Championship Games and a silver medal at the 2008 Beijing  Olympics, and holds an the record for consecutive All-Japan female title wins.
                          
                        Maki was sent to the UK in September 2011 by the  Japanese Olympic Committee and she will be appearing at  HYPER JAPAN to talk about her experiences and do a few demonstrations of her  formidable judo skills. You can catch her on Sunday 26 February. (Please check  the

                        In addition to the various stalls and performances, there  will be an activity area where people can try some Japan-related activities  themselves. The Japan Society will be hosting workshops in
