December features the best of Japanese film, both past and present as well as an exhibition at the Embassy that looks back to the Japan British Exhibition of 100 years ago. Plus, you can really get into the Christmas spirit with the UK-Japan Music Society's Christmas Concert.

Also this month, we learn more about the Mayor of Kawasaki City's visit to Sheffield and the links between the Central School of Ballet and Japan. The spotlight is on Teruko Sekiguchi, the Embassy's librarian.

In a highlight from November, Ichikawa Botan performed Nihon Buyo dancing at the Embassy. You can also discover what happened when The Common and Lords RUFC challenged the Embassy and Japan Society XV to a rugby match....
