In the December 2011 edition we shine our spotlight on Defence Attaché, Captain Minami. Event higlights include an exhibition at the Embassy entitled POSTCARDS FROM JAPAN, the 20th Anniversary Christmas Concert of the UK-Japan Music Society and our monthly filmshow which takes a break this month but will be back in January. We also have a report of a very special football event at Wembley stadium, an interview with a UK award-winning sushi chef, news on the Japanese Olympic Commitee's visit to London, the new Centre for Japanese Studies at UEA, information on volunteering projects in Japan, and a report from JICC's Simon Wright following his selection to attend a training programme at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tokyo.
