Exhibition of photographs by Hiroshi Shimura
‘Cambridge Views and Tokyo Sights’19-30 Jun 2009, Cambridge
Hiroshi Shimura is an artist and also a photographer living in Cambridge since 1975. Shimura has shown silk-screen prints and photographs in many exhibitons in UK and Japan. Shimura was appointed as the main photographer of the official book‘The University Cambridge- an 800th anniversary Portrait‘, and also ‘800th anniversary edition of Central Cambridge’ published by Cambirdge University Press. In this special exhibition in 2009 for JAPAN-UK150 and 800th anniversary of Cambridge University, he shows images of two cities Tokyo and Cambridge where he has art activity bases.
