Super Premium Soft Double Vanilla Rich
10 & 11 June 2014, London
Japan's most exciting director Toshiki Okada presents a new work as part of the London International Festival of Theatre 2014.
Set in a supermarket, the show explores Japanese consumerism using dark humour, dreamlike movement and a striking soundscape of J-pop and JS Bach.
Performed in Japanese with English surtitles. A Q&A with the company will follow the performance on Wed 11 Jun.
"Amongst the new generation of Japanese theatremakers, Toshiki Okada and his company Chelfitsch stands out with a unique theatrical vision and a willingness to tackle their country’s social malaise... this is a very courageous project, a voice of dissent"
