The program aims to introduce the beauty of Japanese culture and attract people from all over the world to Japan. Having overseas visitors helps support people who suffered from the earthquakes in Tohoku and Kumamoto prefecture. This is a cultural program for creating a better Olympic legacy for 2020.
●Event 1 <Sakubei Yamamoto> We would like to introduce Sakubei Yamamoto’s amazing and historical Coal Mine Paintings in the UK as the Beyond 2020 programme. Sakubei’s paintings registered as a “UNESCO Memory of the World” as the first Japanese pieces to be registered. "The Diary of Anne Frank" and "Beethoven's Symphony No. 9" are well known as items registered as a “UNESCO Memory of the World”. Sakubei Yamamoto's coal mining scene works, which focus on mining towns that mined coal, the cornerstone of their industrial revolution.
●Event 2 Japanese nostalgic fork song collaborate with Daikagura which is Japanese traditional stunt show.
Beyond 2020 is a Japanese national project headed by the Tokyo Olympic & Paralympic Games Promotion Headquarters.
