We welcome the start of spring with a number of Japan-related events this month. The Embassy's popular film screenings continue and you can find out what's showing in March and April. Traditional Japanese instruments take to the stage in a music festival at King's Place, and Tatton Park celebrates 100 years since the commission of its Japanese garden. Fashion designer Yohji Yamamoto's work forms an exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum and the former Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr Motoji Yabunaka, comes to LSE to lecture on Security in East Asia.

Mr Mitoji Yabunaka is the former Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs and Advisor to the Nomura Research Institute.

He will give an overview of the security environment in the East Asian context, including Japan�fs relations with China and the challenges on the Korean Peninsula. He will also touch on Japan�fs ties with the US and Russia, and will discuss the various challenges and possible scenarios for Japanese diplomacy.
