Signing the Book of Condolence on the Passing of Former Prime Minister ABE Shinzo by UK Government

On 12 July, on behalf of Prime Minister Boris Johnson, Deputy Prime Minister Dominic Raab visited the Embassy of Japan to sign the book of condolence on the passing of former Prime Minister Abe Shinzo. From the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, Ms Amanda Milling, Minister of State for Asia, also visited the Embassy to sign the book of condolence. During the talks with Ambassador Hayashi, they expressed their heartfelt sympathy on the passing of former Prime Minister Abe, as well as their deepest respect for Mr Abe's contribution to the strengthening of the Japan-UK relationship.
