*Further contracts would be renewed on a six (6) month basis [maximum continuous period: two (2) years]
 
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:30am-5:30pm (Lunch hour: 12:45pm-1:45pm) with possibility of overtime work.
 
Location: Embassy of Japan in the UK
 
Salary: £15.00 per hour

Job Details:
The UK JET Office at the Embassy of Japan seeks a highly qualified person who can perform as JET Programme Assistant Coordinator
 
Duties include:
  1. Acting as a point of contact for JET applicants, processing applicant data, and other tasks as related to JET
  2. Other works related to the Japan Information and Cultural Centre (JICC)
 
Requirements:
  1. Expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  2. Experience with data and file management systems and the handling of large volumes of data is advantageous.
  3. Excellent command of the English language (reading, writing and speaking)
  4. Good communication skills
  5. Good knowledge of Japan and some Japanese language ability preferable.
  6. All applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration Act (permanent residency, dependent visa, etc).
