Death cafe followed by Cancer Philosophy Lecture

26 March 2014, london

This is the first collaboration of Death Cafe in UK and Cancer Philosophy Clinic in Japan.

'Cancer Philosophy Clinic" was set up in 2008 where cancer patients and their families can talk about philosophical matters like seeking the meaning of life and also the meaning of cancer for them in a relaxed atmosphere by drinking tea or coffee. The idea of "Cancer Philosophy Clinic" has now spread all over Japan. Dr. Hino, the founder also gives lectures on how he has found his own philosophy seeing society fro the views of cancer cell.

"Death cafe" is discussion group rather than grief support or counselling session, and its aim is to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their finite lives. Mr. Jon Underwood has dedicated his time to spread the idea of Death cafe since 2010.
