Meetings to read and discuss The Letters by Rennyo in a new translation by K. T. Sato.

Professor Kemmyo Taira Sato, Director of Three Wheels, a Japanese Buddhist Centre in Acton, has been translating for the last ten years The Letters by Rennyo, which had an enormous influence on Shin Buddhist followers in the Medieval Period in Japan. In order to compile his work on The Letters into a book, Professor Sato has started a series of meetings at the Buddhist Society and Three Wheels to discuss the remaining difficult problems in his new translations and commentaries. Professor Sato will continue to hold these meetings at Three Wheels and The Buddhist Society.

 

Between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. on 15th April (Three Wheels), 13th May (The Buddhist Society), 10th June (Three Wheels), 1st July (The Buddhist Society), 29th July (Three Wheels), 16th September (Thee Wheels), 28th October (The Buddhist Society) and 16th December (The Buddhist Society) in 2012.
