
Inauguration of Hiroshima Stone Memorial and service of dedication
15 August 2012, Staffordshire
The inauguration of the Hiroshima Stone Memorial, dedicated to reconciliation, containing a stone from the bombed ruins of Hiroshima, donated by the Mayor and people of Hiroshima. The unveiling of the Memorial, by the Japanese Ambassador, will be preceded by a chapel service, at the National Memorial Arboretum. Far East Prisoners of War and families and British Legion members will be joined by others committed to reconciliation between Britain and Japan over wartime conflict.
