HYPER JAPAN 2011

22- 24 July 2011, London

HYPER JAPAN 2011 is all about cuisine, culture and cool from contemporary Japan. We’ve got loads of exhibitors, stage events, interactive attractions over all three days and kids under ten go free, so it's a great way to spend a family day.

Highlights include the EAT-JAPAN SUSHI AWARDS 2011, a brand new rolled sushi competition featuring five brilliant Japanese restaurants.

The extensive food court will be packed with authentic street food, green tea, sweets, snacks and more. Pop down to the Maid Cafe for a uniquely Japanese pop-culture-dining experience. Nintendo Unleashed will be at the event in glorious 3D(S), or catch the ITK Robot Show, the Yu-Gi-Oh! corner from Konami, and manga, anime and pop content galore.

Fashion fans have the chance to try on an authentic kimono, buy some super-stylish street accessories, join in our Kawaii Show to find the UK’s cutest personality, or be scouted by our street snappers!

HYPER JAPAN 2011 will also feature a number of charity events which will raise money to support the people and regions affected by the Tohoku Pacific Earthquake. 10% of net ticket sales and one third of sponsorship will be donated to the Japan Society Earthquake Relief Fund, along with all funds raised at the event.

Charity performances include live performances from J-Pop star Kanon Wakeshima, traditional taiko performer Joji Hirota, and award-winning songwriter Chris Eaton.

Ticket: £12 advance entry (HYPER JAPAN only), £20 (HYPER JAPAN and Sushi Awards tasting) ; Kids under ten go free
