Japan in Winter : Comforting consumption of art and sake

11 November 2017, London

We all need something to warm up our body and soul in this transitional time of the year. That is why we have prepared the Japanese ART & SAKE event to satisfy you physically and mentally! We have invited specialists from various fields of Japanese culture whose knowledge and stories will reveal to us the real picture of Japanese life style in sacred winter time. Being surrounded by Japanese prints and with a sake cocktail in your hand, let's make an ordinary Saturday afternoon extraordinary :)

PROGRAM for warming you up;

12.45 Kanpai (welcome drink) with winter inspired sake based cocktail by Ukiyo Republic, drinks specialist Kasia Hitchcock

13.00 Introduction to Japanese Prints; “From snow flowers to polar bears" by Malene Wagner, Japanese art specialist

13.45 Introduction to the Japanese tradition of drinking sake in winter time by jounalist Anna Greenhous who is regularly writing about sake for Harpers (drinks trade magazine), amongst other magazines and websites. She judges sake at the International Wine Challenge as well.
