The aim of the Watford Celebration is to offer the people of Watford the opportunity to learn about the rich diversity of their town and enjoy a wonderful afternoon of entertainment and friendship.
It gives the opportunity also to the various ethnic, faith and charitable groups to inform the public about their existence and services to the community. Local artists are also welcome to perform and showcase their talents.
Each May on Bank Holiday, Watford Celebration offers a variety of activities and entertainment FREE of charge:
Performances on stage
Stalls
Sacred Space where people from different faiths share their beliefs and discuss topics of common interest.
Children’s activities
Food area: an opportunity to sample various ethnic dishes.
Once a year the Watford Celebration supports a charity. This year we decided to raise funds for Japan. Through out our event, we will try raise moany for Japan. We will have Japan related stalls and performances, also buckets will be put in various places for fundraising.
