Artist Talk of Gemma Anderson

Gemma Anderson will be in conversation with Stephen Brown, writer of Future Me (Oberton Modern Plays, 2007).

 

Gemma Anderson uses intricate and highly developed skills of visual representation in her prints and drawings and is renowned for her spectacular portraits.  She received the Wellcome Trust Arts Award in 2009 and is currently exploring the history of psychiatric ideas, natural history collections and divinatory sciences. 


The talk is in conjunction with the exhibition Drawings and Etchings of Ezo which features a series of works of nature and people she encounted in Hokkaido, where she stayed on a residency programme in Japan.
