Great Wave of Karagawa by Hokusai for 8-14 yrs
Tuesday 16th February, 10.30am-3.30pm
Using a variety of mediums (paint, glitter, oil pastels, inks) and techniques (painting, drawing, wax resist) to create beautiful textures, then collage to create a picture of the great wave.
Then, working together as a group, re-create the great wave using a variety of mediums (papers, fabrics, string, cardboard). All participants will receive an aerial photograph.

Wednesday 17th February, 10am-12noon & repeated 2-4pm
Create a 3D work of art based on an aquatic theme in the style of the classic Japanese wood cuts, using a variety of materials including card, cellophane, beads, bubble wrap and wire.

Dinosaur & Lotus Blossom Soaps for 5-12yrs
Thursday 18th February, 10am-12noon & repeated 2-4pm
Make soap with a surprise inside! Then, using design skills make an origami box and decorate wrapping paper to package the soap.

Krazy Kimonos for 8-14 yrs
Friday 19th February, 10.30am-3.30pm
Traditionally worn by everyone including emperors, princesses, heroes and geishas, make, design and decorate your very own kimono, taking inspiration from the Japantastic exhibition.
