Charity Exhibition WHOLEHEARTED from Japan
21 - 23 & 25 - 27 May 2012, Cambridge
Brief of the Exhibition-REINCARNATION-
Since the shocking news of The Great East Japan Earthquake, we have received heartfelt sympathy and donations from UK.
Through introducing Japanese art work, paintings, calligraphy, photographs, poems and crafts in UK, we would like to bridge cultural gaps to better understand one another.
Especially for this exhibition, we have 150 pieces of Japanese traditional lacquered round fans featuring original poems by each artist, which were brought from Fukushima, Tohoku to revitalize the trade of local craftsmen via global communication.
Free 605 artists’ postcards and some fans will be released for charity.
We will have a reception with a Japanese drums performance and a workshop on 25 May.
Please enjoy the evening with drinks and Japanese food.
