Film Screening: "The Piano in the Shed"

To commemorate the 4th anniversary of the 2011 Tohoku Earthquake and Tsunami, there will be a film screening of "The Piano in the Shed" at UCL.


The film tells the story of Haruka, a 17 year old high school student living on a peach farm with her family in Koori, Fukushima. One year on from the Tohoku Earthquake and Tsunami, her family is struggling to overcome its destructions. Yet, amidst the chaos, Haruka finds companionship in her piano that had been left in the shed.


There will be English subtitles.


Admission is free, there will be free Japanese nibbles available beforehand.
