England vs. Japan Women’s International
26 June 2013, Burton-on-Trent
The England vs. Japan Women’s International match on Wednesday 26th June at Burton Albion FC sees the current World Champions and Olympic Silver medallists play England in a final home international, before Hope Powell and her England team fly to Sweden for Euro 2013.
It has been decided that the game will kick-off at 1.45pm, in a bid to give as many UK-based students the best possible chance to see some of the world’s best female footballers in action. To support this, all students are being offered FREE tickets to the game in recognition of the key part schools and universities football plays in the whole game.
Prior to seeing the two teams in action, all fans are invited to take part in a FREE, interactive fanzone, brought to you by Continental Tyres. Games include batak boards, a speed cage, a target shoot inflatable plus a new trailer that houses the FA WSL and Cyprus Cup trophies and digital stations. To add to the festival atmosphere, there will also be hair braiding and face painting, all of which will take place outside the stadium from 11.45am.
