Aomori Aomori : Repetitions
A beautiful, surprising, lyrical and joyous dance work.
Placing the body horizontally, a landscape orientation. Repetition poses a threat of disorientation; counting beat or pulse is a devised system of survival. With the duration of physical endurance, repetition becomes an emotive containment.
Sioned Huws is the artistic director of Aomori Project, a long-term UK-Japan collaboration, since it’s beginning in 2008.
Part of Geddes & Groves - Double Take
