Cafe Yukari Kew Chet Baker in Tokyo Best of Chet Concert

 

An evening at the Neighbourhood Cafe Yukari in Kew recreating Chet Baker’s last concert in Tokyo.

 

Generally considered as one of Chet Baker’s finest albums, Chet Baker in Tokyo was recorded in June 1987 at his final concert at the end of a hugely successful tour.

 

The album is recreated in the intimate surroundings of the Cafe Yukari with Caroline Cooper on piano, Geoff Varrall on trumpet and Paul Michael on double bass.

 

The Cafe serves delicious Japanese food and is immediately adjacent to Kew Station.
