Of Landscapes Remembered Aomori by Sioned Huws

15 & 16 April 2011, London

Choreographer Sioned Huws is to present her work Of Landscapes Remembered Aomori at Greenwich Dance’s Borough Hall. Three shamisen musicians, one minyo singer and two dancers from the Tsugaru region of Japan will join with participants aged 7 to 65 from the local Greenwich community in a beautiful dance. 

The work is inspired by the unsympathetic, Northern arctic winter conditions of Aomori, a remote area of Japan, and uses the songs and sounds of Tsgugara city as accompaniment. 

Aomori Project is being performed at Chapter Arts Centre and in a scaled down version in North Wales. Please see detail below:
