Earthquake Charity Live: Revive Concert

14 March 2013, London

To mark the two year anniversary of the Tohoku Earthquake in 2011, Imperial College Japanese Society and Universities of London Japan Society have worked in conjunction to hold a concert, in remembrance of those who suffered and are still suffering due to the earthquake and tsunami that devastated the Tohoku region and to raise money for the Japan Society Tohoku Relief Fund.

As well as supporting those still affected by the Earthquake, the event’s focus is to celebrate Japanese culture and music and promote them to a wider audience as well as to provide a social scene to unite those interested in Japanese culture.

Various professional and amateur artists from London and Japan have volunteered to perform, bringing their sensational Japan-inspired music (Shimauta, film music, Jpop etc) and dance to the stage.

Through this event we are aiming to raise money for the relief fund throughout the week in the Universities. Half of the profit of the tickets and all the profit from the raffles will be donated to the Japan Society Tohoku Relief Fund. (The other half of the ticket profits will be used for event expenditure)
