Charity Concert for the 5th anniversary of the Japanese Tsunami

17 March 2016, London

Five years ago Japan was hit by a collosal natural disaster. The Miyagi Prefecture was devasteted by the earthquake and tsunami. It has bravely fought to survive and rebuild itself in the face of this devastating disaster ever since. Our concert is a step of support for the people of Japan affected by this disaster. A young poet, Yohei Suto writes in his poems of his struggles to try and help rebuild his local community in the small fishing village of Minami-Sanriku. He fell inept and unable to contribute as he has Tourette syndrome. Our British-Japanese piano soloist YUSK also has Tourette syndrome he is a friend of Yohei Suto. By performing in this concert YUSK is helping Yohei Suto to realise his dream to contribute to the development of the Miyagi prefecture. Proceeds from the concert will be donated to the Miyagi Prefecture's Government.
