Talks and demonstrations of Japanese culture

There will be a talk and demonstration of Japanese traditional clothing including kimono, yukata and many other types of traditional dress still used today.

This will be followed by a talk and demonstration by Brenda Thorpe who has been studying ikebana (Ohara school) for 35 years.

These talks are being hosted in conjunction with the York Japan Society - a group whose aim is to create and encourage links between the Japanese community in York and local residents.
