Are you interested in taking your sake knowlege to the next level? As we can’t easily travel to Japan right now, the next best thing is to experience the country through the amazing world of sake, in the form of the in-depth Sake Scholar course created by Sake Samurai, educator and International Wine Challenge Sake judge Michael Tremblay. The course is being offered in London for the first time, and this is the only time Sake Scholar has been held outside North America !
Sake Scholar is a three day intensive course comprising classes and curated sake tastings covering all 47 prefectures of Japan, exploring the regionality of each through the lens of sake and shochu via their history, geography, ingredients, and sake making techniques. There will be numerous tastings to support and explore the concept of regionality at the macro and micro levels that can exist within the realm of Japanese sake. The core body of knowledge covered in this course is crucial to understanding Japan’s key producing sake regions and learning about some of its principal sake breweries. The course will ultimately complement your sake knowledge and enhance your ability to sell, purchase or simply enjoy sake.
