This will be the 8th LIVE Japan Day by the Japan Society North West (JSNW). Come and find out about Japanese Culture! Previous Live Japan Day events have attracted up to 2200 people.

Entrance cost: Free

The event will be similar to Previous Japan Days and will include, for example, as in 2014: -
Formal Opening;
Taiko Drummers and Yosakoi Dancers (new for 2022);
Kyudo, Kendo and Aikido;
Koto and Shamisen Playing; Enka Singing (new for 2022);
Kimono Dressing;
A Cosplay Competition.

Throughout that 2014 event there were more than 25 other stalls or demonstrations active, filling 2 big rooms. These included Japanese Swords and armour on display, a Japanese Food Hall (which is very popular), Origami, Shodo, Ikebana, Kimonos, Manga, and more. We currently have 9 stage acts booked and 27 groups have booked to present their hobbies and their wares on our tables, including many of those who attended in 2014.

This is what we have planned so far … … Taiko Drumming, Yosakoi Traditional Dance, Koto, Shamisen, Aikido, Kendo, Kyudo and Enka Singing.
We are also having a Cosplay Competition.
