Linklater Voice Residential Workshop in Japanese - a unique experience from Sunday 25 September to Saturday 1 October in the Orkney Islands

Noriko Tosaka, accredited Linklater Voice teacher, and acclaimed former Takarazuka revue star, will be coming from Japan to lead this workshop

The Kristin Linklater Voice Centre offers a special opportunity to study the Linklater Voice method delivered in the Japanese language. The Kristin Linklater Voice Centre has invited Noriko Tosaka who is the only Japanese Designated Linklater Teacher of Kristin Linklater’s Voice method. Noriko comes from Tokyo, Japan and will travel to Orkney this September to deliver the workshop in Japanese. If you can speak, read, write at a certain level of Japanese and are interested in exploring your voice, you can attend the workshop regardless of nationalities and occupations.


Kristin Linklater was a world-renowned teacher of voice production who pursued a highly successful academic and theatrical career in the United States and Europe for fifty years and who Designated over 260 Linklater Teachers around the world. Kristin returned to her childhood home and opened the Kristin Linklater Voice Centre in Orkney in 2014. The Centre is situated in Orkney which is 10 miles north of the Scottish mainland. The Centre provides a safe retreat-style, living and work space which is surrounded by the vast Orkney landscape: rolling fields, expansive sea and clear and crisp air. An ideal combination of Linklater Voice work and the elemental landscape of Orkney.
