The popularity of sake, Japan’s national beverage, is growing by leaps and bounds every year. This amazing fermented drink has over a thousand years of Japanese history and craftsmanship behind it, with styles and flavour profiles as complex and nuanced as anything in the wine or beer world and a comparable alcohol percentage to wine at around 15-16%.
Join us at West London Wine School for an evening Introduction to Sake Tasting to start your journey of sake discovery. We will cover the basics of history, ingredients, production, and classifications, introduce the major styles and show you how to taste like a pro. We will enjoy six different styles of sake alongside cheese and nibbles to help enhance flavours and introduce sake and food pairing concepts.
