The Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Level 1 Award in Sake is the ideal starting point for anyone interested in learning more about Japan’s national beverage. During this one-day course you will learn how to taste sake using the WSET method and practice your new skills on seven delicious sake examples served at a variety of different temperatures. We will cover all the basics of sake history, production, categories and service, and finish the day with a 30-question multiple choice exam (everything you need to know will be taught on the day). Following successful completion of the course you will receive a lovely certificate and pin to recognize your new sake qualification!
This is an enjoyable, relaxed and interactive course that provides the perfect introduction to Japan’s most famous beverage. After completion you will be able to order sake in a restaurant with confidence, describe the styles you enjoy drinking to help discover new favourite sake styles, and pair sake with a wide variety of foods.
