The popularity of sake, Japan’s national beverage, is growing by leaps and bounds every year. This amazing fermented drink has over a thousand years of Japanese history and craftsmanship behind it, with styles and flavour profiles as complex and nuanced as any wine or beer and a comparable alcohol percentage to wine at around 14-17%.
Join us at West London Wine School for an evening Introduction to Sake Tasting and start your journey of sake discovery. We will cover the basics of sake’s history, ingredients, production, classifications, proper service and storage, introduce the major styles and show you how to taste like a pro. During the class you will taste six different premium styles of sake alongside cheese and nibbles to enhance flavours and introduce sake and food pairing concepts.
Cost: ££40 per person
