Ikebana Workshop with Nono Tabata

Nono is an Ikebana instructor and she will take you through the principles of making an Ikebana arrangement, including the selection of vessel and flower (stem), as well as how to maintain your arrangement.

n contrast to flower arrangement, Ikebana constitutes the ‘aesthetics of subtraction’, by using the minimum of flowers and plants. Ikebana represents the preciousness of life in addition to its splendour.

The flowers, vessel and a kenzan (flower frog) used in your arrangement will be yours to take away at the end of the workshop.

Tea and cake will be served too, during the 2 hour long workshop.

* Nono has studied Ikebana arrangement under Mr Yoshio Karimai in Japan during 2021, and has very recently moved to London. Nono chose to work with Ikebana for the beauty and minimalistic aspects of the art, and because of her love for nature.

Nono is already very busy with making Ikebana arrangements for hotels, exhibition openings and stores — as well as instructing workshops.

Event cost: £75.00
