Detail from 'Horserace on the Shelf' by Mayu Kakuda, featured in the WAVE exhibition
Take a closer look at selected artworks featured in the wide-ranging exhibition WAVE: Currents in Japanese Graphic Arts through a series of short spotlight talks taking place within the Japan House London Gallery.
The series opens with presentations by a number of visiting artists discussing their own works featured in the exhibition, including WAVE co-curators Hiro Sugiyama and Takahashi Kintarō, with subsequent talks by Japan House London team members and other speakers from various backgrounds and disciplines.
Each session, showcasing a single artwork, is different and packed with information, inviting guests to take a glimpse into one of the numerous and diverse artworks presented in the current exhibition. Every talk offers an individual approach and personal touch, as the artworks are chosen by the speakers themselves.
Spotlight talks last about 15 to 30 minutes and begin in front of the Gallery on Japan House London’s Lower Ground floor promptly at the start time.
