About Noh Reimagined

Produced and curated by Akiko Yanagisawa (Mu:Arts), Noh Reimagined is a series of projects and festivals that explore the 650-year-old Noh theatre tradition. It presents classical masterpieces by top Noh performers, along with ambitious cross-cultural commissioned works by both emerging and established British artists from diverse disciplines, inspired by Noh’s aesthetic, unique musical system, movement, and dramaturgy.
In 2023-2024, in partnership with SEAS, The Place, Birmingham Contemporary Music Group, Kings Place, and Aldeburgh Festival, "Noh Reimagined" aims to reimagine the art of Noh in today's contemporary world. https://noh.muarts.org.uk
