Yutaro Ogida and Jun Sapporo live at the Water Rats

 Japanese singer-songwriter and guitarist, Yutaro Ogida was born in 1970 in Tokyo. He spent his early childhood in New York and attended high school in London where he started playing guitar. After going back to Japan in the 1990’s, he joined Wouassi Vincent’s Afrorock band, The Roots Band. Support will be from singer/songwriter Jun Sapporo alongside talented guitarist, singer and Meetup regular, Derron.

Jun Sapporo:
Based on country music and J-pop, Jun delivers refreshing music that is typical of Hokkaido with lyrics that are easy to relate to. As someone who grew up in a child welfare facility, her music activities are based on the theme of "never giving up on your dreams or the things you love." She has 13,000 followers on TikTok and broadcasts her own music variety show [ROOMLIVE] on YouTube every third and fourth Sunday of the month from 8pm. She is the personality of [JUN's Swingingdoor] on FM Otaru every third Thursday of the month from 11pm. She posts covers every day on TikTok and YouTube and is a million-liver on the distribution app uplive.
