As the finale of the 2024 Opus One Summer Piano Festival, we are delighted to present a chamber music concert on August 18th at the Royal Academy of Music, celebrating the beloved world of Studio Ghibli films by Hayao Miyazaki. The performance will feature Japanese soprano Saori Oda from West End theatre, violinist Angus Gibbon, cellist Aleksandra Pykacz, pianist Hiroko Yamamoto, and esteemed guest performer Prof. Julian Jacobson, piano professor at the Royal College of Music and Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.
This concert highlights the profound influence of Japanese anime culture on our generation and aspires to nurture a multicultural world for the next generation growing up in the Western world. The audience will primarily target children and their family members from diverse backgrounds across the US, Canada, and the UK. We are also offering tickets to the general public, especially fans of Joe Hisaishi's music.
Ticket: £38 for Tier 3, £48 for Tier 2, and £58 for Tier 1 (plus fees)
