Want to become an expert in Japan’s national beverage, and earn a globally recognized qualification acknowledging your expertise? The Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Level 3 Award in Sake is the current industry global standard for demonstrating a high level of sake knowledge and tasting skill. This is the perfect course for anyone involved in sake service or buying, as well as for enthusiastic consumers keen to learn as much as possible about this wonderful drink.
To enable students to learn the demanding syllabus over a longer period and thus allow better long-term retention of material, we have divided the material across nine weekly sessions, scheduled on Monday evenings starting at 7pm and ending between 9-9:30pm. You will taste a minimum of 37 sake samples during the nine evenings of in-person classroom instruction, and learn how to blind taste sake and make objective quality assessments based on your tasting notes. Supplemental practice exam questions with worked answers and mock blind tasting exam practice will be provided to further enhance learning. Upon successful completion of a written and blind tasting exam on Mon Dec 9th, you will receive a WSET certificate and lapel pin and will be able to use the associated WSET certified logo.
