YOKIMONO JAPANESE CHRISTMAS MARKET is a Japan-themed market and cultural event at The Factory, Dalston, East London.

YOKIMONO means ‘good things’ in Japanese. Traders will be offering; delicious Japanese food & sweets, vintage Kimono, ceramics, Ukiyoe & old woodblock prints, illustrations, books, stationary & cards, clothing & kidswear, jewellery and much more – all made in Japan or produced by Japanese artists in London.

As well as a wide variety of market stalls, there will be live performances from Japanese artists such as Taiko drum & Fue Japanese Flute, Tsugaru Shamisen and Minyo Folk Song, Guitar, and Noh Dance Performance, live demonstrations of Kimono dressing, Furoshiki eco-wrapping, Tea Ceremony and Kokedama moss ball making.

There will also be fun and friendly workshops of IKEBANA (Japanese Flower Arrangement), Kokedama Moss Ball BONSAI Making, and WAGASHI (vegan and gluten free soft Japanese sweets in beautiful flower or animal shape) making workshops.

YOKIMONO Japanese Christmas Market will be “the Little Japan” for Londoners  to explore traditional and contemporary Japanese food and culture in the heard of Hackney.
