As part of London Craft Week, get behind-the-scenes insights into the design and development of the exhibition The Craft of Carpentry: Drawing Life from Japan’s Forests with a special guided tour led by Japan House London’s Director of Programming, Simon Wright.

During the tour, Simon explains the celebrated craftmanship behind Japan’s temples and shrines, focusing on how Japanese master carpenters have developed tools and techniques informed by the extraordinary qualities of wood.

The talk begins in front of the Gallery on Japan House London’s lower ground floor promptly at 18:30 and lasts approximately 40 minutes.
