YOKIMONO JAPANESE MARKET in Dalston 

Discover the beauty of Japan — traditional and modern arts, crafts, food, and culture in one place!

YOKIMONO (meaning ‘good things’ in Japanese) JAPANESE MARKET is a Japan-themed market and cultural event in East London.
(FREE ENTRY) 

Over 50 traders will be offering authentic Japanese food and sweets (such as okonomiyaki, sushi, takoyaki, fruit mochi, tea, wagashi, and matcha ice cream), as well as vintage kimono, ukiyo-e & illustrations, books & comics, clothing, jewellery, and more — all made in Japan or created by Japanese artists based in London.
 In addition to the wide variety of market stalls, there will be live performances by Japanese musicians, including Taiko drumming, electric shamisen, and BON-ODORI (a traditional Japanese folk dance for summer festivals). Visitors can also enjoy demonstrations of IKEBANA (Japanese flower arranging) and short Japanese film screenings.
Fun and friendly workshops will also be available, including IKEBANA and a “Craft Your Own KITSUNE Fox Mask” session.
 Visitors can explore traditional and contemporary Japanese food and culture in Hackney.
