This event is organised by Japan Exchange Teaching Alumni Association (JETAA) Scotland.
It is a cross-cultural community festival celebrating Japan-Scotland connections. It will feature Japanese and Scottish traditional arts & crafts, photography, music, dance, sport, manga & cosplay contests for school age children, story-telling and academic presentations. The festival is officially supported by The Consulate General of Japan in Edinburgh, The Great Britain Sasakawa Foundation and the JLGC London. Visitors and volunteers will enjoy the event’s welcoming spirit as Japanese and Scottish participants work side by side to share traditions, stories, and skills. Dumfries Museum will display their Japanese collection in connection with the festival.
Strong emphasis is placed on running a sustainable event and this year we are joined by the participants who care for our marine and coastal environment.
