Inside Out : Echoes

Inside Out: Echoes is a free afternoon event outside The Photographers’ Gallery on Saturday 8 August bringing together music and photography against the backdrop of NINAGAWA Mika’s large-scale, kaleidoscopic photographs in Soho Photography Quarter, and celebrates the exhibition Japanese Women Photographers: From 1950s to Now!

Artist and host RIEKO and The Photographers' Gallery will take the public on a journey through sounds and visions by Japanese women in London now. Featuring live music and DJ sets, this free outdoor event celebrates the women shaping contemporary culture in London through experimentation, images, and sound.

The lineup includes performances by RIEKO accompanied by cellist Midori JaegerAkiko HarunaYumé NETO Yama O (featuring Cafe OTO co-founder Keiko Yamamoto and Rie Nakajima), and films by Umi Ishihara – all taking place with live visuals on an LED-screen truck as a transitory backdrop, like a contemporary take on a festival float of a Japanese summer omatsuri.

You don't need to book for this event. By signing up in the link you will be letting us know you're coming and getting a free ticket to Japanese Women Photographers: From 1950s to Now.
