Bach Collegium Japan: Handel’s Messiah

Bach Collegium Japan, conducted by Principal Conductor Masato Suzuki, performs George Frideric Handel’s Messiah at the Barbican Hall in London. One of the world’s foremost period performance ensembles, Bach Collegium Japan uses instruments and techniques as close as possible to those Handel himself would have known. Handel’s masterpiece tells of the birth and life of Jesus and his victory over death through spectacular choruses, moving arias and duets, and vivid recitatives.
