The Japan-UK Season of Culture ended at the end of 2021. We continue listing Japan related events in the UK at Japan-UK event calendar.
The "Japan-UK Season of Culture" bridges the Rugby World Cup and the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Japan will organise the "Japan Season of Culture in the UK", and the UK will oversee the "UK in Japan" in parallel. This was agreed between the Prime Ministers of Japan and the UK in August 2017.
The Japan Season of Culture in the UK will showcase Japan’s multi-faceted appeal, from its culture and art to innovation and cutting-edge technology in areas such as medicine, science and industry. By building on various areas of grassroots exchange and local community activities that already exist, we hope to use the momentum of the Japan Season of Culture to create a legacy that will endure.
日英文化季間」は２０２１年に終了いたしました。引き続き英国で行われる日本関連イベントをJapan-UK Event Calendarにて掲載しておりますので、是非ご覧ください。
新型コロナウイルスの流行による多くの事業の延期を受けて、英国における「日本文化季間」を２０２１年まで延長することとしました。
「日英文化季間 」として、ラグビー・ワールドカップと東京オリンピック・パラリンピック競技大会を橋渡しする形で、英国において「日本文化季間」、日本において「英国文化季間」を併行して開催します。
これは、2017年8月、日英両首脳間で合意されたものです。
「英国における日本文化季間」では、文化・芸術分野の交流、医療・科学技術・産業分野等におけるイノベーションや先端技術まで、今日の日本が有する多面的な魅力を伝え、また地域や草の根でこれまで行われてきた手作りの活動を更に促進し、長期的に両国間に残るレガシーを創ることを目指しています。
