Collaborations between industry and academia have been crucial in contributing to industrial innovation. These partnerships, however, involve parties with differing interests, business models and cultures, creating challenges for both academia and industry.
In this talk, Professor Mikael Adolphson, University of Cambridge, and Kiyomi Hashimoto, CEO of Dojima Sake Brewery, will discuss the current situation and challenges surrounding industry-academia partnerships. They will use the example of collaboration between the University of Cambridge and Japanese enterprise to explain how UK universities and Japanese enterprises can effectively work together to promote industrial innovation.
This event is arranged in collaboration with the Embassy of Japan in the UK.
