As part of the UK- Japan Season of Culture 2019/2020, the University of Stirling will be holding a seminar and workshop to introduce the Japanese chess game, Shōgi.
Dr Shuzo Sakata, a senior lecturer in systems neuroscience at the University of Strathclyde will give an introduction into the principals of Shōgi, followed by a masterclass to show you how to play! No previous knowledge of Shōgi required, so beginners are also encouraged to take part.
